بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

idhā zul'zilati l-arḍu zil'zālahā

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

٢

wa-akhrajati l-arḍu athqālahā

And the earth discharges its burdens

٣

waqāla l-insānu mā lahā

And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -

٤

yawma-idhin tuḥaddithu akhbārahā

That Day, it will report its news

٥

bi-anna rabbaka awḥā lahā

Because your Lord has inspired [i.e., commanded] it.

٦

yawma-idhin yaṣduru l-nāsu ashtātan liyuraw aʿmālahum

That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.

٧

faman yaʿmal mith'qāla dharratin khayran yarahu

So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,

٨

waman yaʿmal mith'qāla dharratin sharran yarahu

And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
